A small but mighty group of Simcoe County Health Coalition (SCHC) supporters attended a media conference in Barrie, Ontario today. Michael Hurley, president, Ontario Council of Hospital Unions, CUPE, which commissioned the report: At What Cost? Ontario hospital privatization and the threat to public health care; Andrew Longhurst, author of the report; and SCHC Co-chair Anisa Carrascal provided information on the research behind the report on privatization of hospital services and related issues at SimcoeCounty hospitals.
